In 1951 George Stephen designed his kettle-shaped barbeque grill not knowing it would ignite a backyard revolution not only in America but worldwide. The idea of the kettle shape was born from frustration with flat grills being open to all the elements. Working in a Metal works company at the time welding buoys, Stephen realised that a sphere shape with legs and of course a lid on top would be the perfect solution.

Fast forward years later and Weber has revolutionised the way braai enthusiasts cook their outdoor meals. With an ever growing product range, Weber is widely available with accessories to make outdoor cooking a gourmet experience.
