Easter Bunny Wreath

If you’re looking for a fun Easter project to do with your kids this weekend then this one is for you! You’ll need some simple supplies for this creative craft:

1 x Cardboard Box (piece of cardboard 45cm diameter)
1 x Glue Gun
Jute rope 10/20mm width
Bunch of Eucalyptus
Bunch of Baby’s breath
Battery operated string lights
6 Eggs (emptied and boiled)
Paint
Brushes
Scissors
Measuring Tape

Method:

1. Using a pin make a small hole in the top and bottom of the eggs to drain then wash and boil the empty egg shells to clean. (Optional: use your glue gun to reseal the hole on the top and bottom when dry).
2. Decorate your eggs with paint to make them look like Easter eggs and set aside to dry.
3. Measure and cut a 45cm diameter circle in your piece of cardboard.

4. Once you’ve cut your circle you’re going to cut out the inside to make your wreath. Measure 10cm in from the edge and mark it around your circle. Cut out the middle and discard.
5. Using your chosen size jute rope and glue gun, lay down some glue on your wreath and stick a piece of the rope down to hold it in place. You can now continue to wrap the rope around the carboard, gluing every 2nd or 3rd time around.
6. Once you’ve covered your wreath in rope you can decorate it with eucalyptus and baby’s breath. Stick the stems down in at an angle in a clock-wise manner so that your leaves are hanging off the edge of the wreath.
7. Wrap your string lights around your wreath in-between the plants.
8. Stick your dried, painted egg shells around the wreath or at the bottom to make it look like they’re in a basket.
9. Hang your wreath on your front door or wall, turn on the string lights and enjoy!
